Working Towards a Sustainable Future
Global Recycled Standards Verified
At our company, we are proud to offer eco-conscious products made using recycled and verified materials. For our zippers, the tape and coil components contain recycled content validated through global sustainability certifications.
The zipper tapes in our products are constructed using either recycled polyester from PET bottles or recycled cotton fibers. We source these recycled materials rather than virgin plastics to reduce waste and environmental impact. The nylon coils of our zippers also utilize regenerated nylon made from reclaimed fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic.
These recycled materials are third-party verified through certification standards like the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Content Standard (RCS). Our zippers carry Transaction Certificates (TCs) to prove the recycled content is authentic and tracked through a chain of custody from source to final product. The TCs provide credibility to our sustainability claims.
Biodegradable PLA
Zippers with teeth made from polylactic acid (PLA) provide an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic zippers. PLA is a bioplastic derived from renewable plant sources like corn starch or sugarcane. It has similar durability to petroleum-based zipper materials, but decomposes completely over time rather than accumulating in landfills.
PLA zipper teeth are less brittle and create less friction compared to standard materials. Brands adopting this innovative biodegradable material can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability without sacrificing quality or performance.
PLA zipper teeth reduces environmental impact and plastic waste while appealing to eco-conscious consumers. The adoption of PLA could significantly decrease zipper-related pollution over the long term.
